Jake Shoudy

jshoudy@fisk.edu

I graduated from University of Washington in 2015 with a degree in Computer Science. I’ve been a software engineer at Google Seattle ever since working on Cloud UI widgets, Google Maps user generated content, and now Google Maps basemap data quality (everything related to roads & buildings). This semester, I’m taking time off of my day job to teach this class full-time as a part of Google’s GIR program. We have partnered with Fisk for many years now (7?) and I am so excited to be here!

Fisk Teaching Assistants

Aman Singh

asingh25@my.fisk.edu

Hi Everyone, I’m Aman, originally from Nepal, currently a junior majoring in Computer Science. I want to be a TA for this class because I enjoy helping people learn as well as growing with them in the process.

Aminu Abdusalam

aabdusalam01@my.fisk.edu

I am Aminu, a Senior and CS major from Nigeria. Technology should be inclusive and welcoming for all; thus, I hope to build, leverage, integrate, and continually improve the tech to solve problems and create experiences that everyone can cohabitate safely. I am a TA to not only introduce students to CS but importantly offer proper career placement and counseling to gain clarity on merging their interests plus developing skills and exposure.

Angel Adetula

aaadetula11@my.fisk.edu

Hi, my name is Angel and I am a sophomore majoring in Biology and Data Science. I am excited to be your TA in this course because it was my favorite course from last fall, and I hope to help you all have a great experience in it as well. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just for a casual chat!

Arun Giri

agiri09@my.fisk.edu

I am Arun, a junior majoring in Computer Science. I like to involve myself in sports such as Cricket, Soccer, and Table Tennis. One Fun Fact about me is I started my major as Chemistry and later changed to Computer Science.

I took my first ever GIR class in 2020 and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. Before this class, I had a very minimal experience with Programming and I was not very much confident that I would be able to do good in Computer Science but, my professor and my TA really helped me and this class really solidify my foundation in CS-related concepts. So, I would like to share my experiences, and learnings as a TA and at the same time, I look forward to learning from all of you.

I am very much open to conversations so you can reach me at any time and let us be connected on Linkedin. https://www.linkedin.com/in/arungiri12/
